Statement as of 07 11, 2009 15:09 EST ... Frost advisory in effect from 4 am to 8 am EST Sunday... The National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg has issued a frost advisory... which is in effect from 4 am to 8 am EST Sunday. Clear skies and light winds will allow temperatures to fall into the mid 30s across the southern Piedmont of North Carolina... the eastern upstate of South Carolina... and the southern portions of the western upstate and northeast Georgia. Areas of frost are likely... especially in rural and normally colder locations. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A frost advisory means that frost is possible. Sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered.
