Looking for a warm today, already 18C, a nice breeze SW, temp to be in high 20's before going back a little tonight. Similar forecast for tomorrow with a hint of a possible shower for Monday.

Rob off at 0700 this morning, to deal with rockweed harvesters, Emily assisting in the annual Marathon sponsored by the Rotary Club, that gets underway near 1000HRS this morning. Runners will be looking for lots of water in this type of wether.

Lobster market plugged with the creatures, several of the processors full up, and have ceased production for at least two weeks. Too early to say what impact this will have in a few months when our season reopens.

Morning,
Muggy with a slight SW movement of very light air. It certainly feels like a thunder bumper this afternoon. The rain I will take, the lightening I could do with out. Quite dry here and the dry heat and breeze off from the mainland of the past few days have parched the gardens.

Lobsters lobsters everywhere but nary a soul to buy them. Actually, we could sell all we catch but the price at $2 a pound has us in a real slow down mode. It depends who you talk to-be it a dealer, trucker or processor. I believe next week a bunch of processors up your way open up for the shedder production. The processor our dealer sells to does open Thursday, 7/19/12. One big time buyer told us to catch them now and get the pain over with which translated means he will make more money on cheaper and cheaper lobsters.

Rachel in Barcelona on way to Rawanda via Istanbul. Emily working for the summer as an intern for Maine Fishermen's Alliance. MFA represents the remaining fish draggers along the Maine coast. HEr history is a background of lobstering. She is finding quite a different world when cod and herring enter the fray.

Dear Rob:

Went to see Gerald at the hospital this morning and stayed until 3:00. He looks 110% better than when I saw him last Weekend.

He sat up and we had three games of crib. He beat me the first hand - I won the second - and on the rubber: I skunked him!!!! HAHA Told him he was on my turf now and I wasn't getting beat. He had to lie down after that. HaHa again.

It is so hot here you can barely stand on the deck. Oh well - we are never happy.

Cody turns 20 today - he made it somehow - all coming for a birthday celebration so have to get to.

Have a good one. Word.

Chunks.
