Marco Island, Florida

Through 1 PM EST...showers and a few strong thunderstorms will continue to develop and move across the southwest Florida Gulf coastal waters from 60 miles southwest of Cape Romano to Naples and Marco Island. Mariners can expect occasional lightning strikes, wind gusts near 30 knots and very heavy rains. The strongest thunderstorms will be affecting the far offshore Gulf coastal waters from 25 to over 60 miles southwest of Marco Island. Some of the showers and thunderstorms will be moving onshore the Naples and Marco Island areas. All activity will be moving northeast at about 15 miles an hour.
